About Canelo
This sweet little guy has already overcome more than most puppies ever should. Canelo and his siblings were found in a Kroger parking lot, and while they’ve all gotten a second chance at life, Canelo’s journey has come with a few extra challenges.
Canelo has a condition that causes his esophagus to be smaller than it should be, making it difficult for him to eat and absorb all the nutrients his growing body needs. As a result, he’s much smaller than his siblings, but what he lacks in size, he more than makes up for in spirit.
Right now, Canelo is in a loving foster home where he’s receiving specialized care, plenty of love, and all the support he needs to grow big and strong.
Canelo isn’t quite ready for adoption yet, but we’re excited to watch him continue to grow and gain strength. With his determination and the care of his foster family, we know his brightest days are still ahead. Cheer on this tiny warrior as he works his way toward a healthy future and, eventually, the forever home he deserves. 🐾

I enjoy a daily walk around the block or the occasional game of fetch.

I'm like velcro and would be near you all the time if I could!

I'm really well-behaved indoors, especially when I've got boundaries.

I've never been around kids before, but it's a possibility!

I've had very limited experience with dogs and, with proper introductions, may be happy living with them.

I haven't had much experience with cats, if any.
