My foster family thought they had a raccoon trapped in the ceiling, but it was just me!

(Last Updated On: December 3, 2020)

“My name is Cecilia and somehow, I got trapped in the ceiling of my foster family’s apartment; they thought a raccoon was trapped.  Their kitties started meowing to me through the wall and finally I decided to answer them!  I was coaxed out with tuna, every kitty’s favorite and I’ve been settling in ever since.  It’s hard to say what happened to me before I was rescued.  I’m friendly but I’m still quite a shy girl who doesn’t react well to sudden movements or loud noise soooo I’d like a calm, quiet home.  Although I’m a startled easily, I’ve never bitten or scratched anyone.  My adopters need to be patient and I’d really like a place where I have space to go and be by myself from time to time.  I might eventually get along with other kitties since I answered them so I could be found but right now I mostly enjoy observing them from afar ( I have attempted a snuggle or two with them, though).

I like to play with string toys because they’re not noisy.  Sometimes I’ll get brave and venture very close to your lap, maybe I’m just a big tease!  I can be quite vocal when I’m letting you know I want attention, but that might mean all you have to do is sit quietly in the room with me. I’m challenging you to reach out and take me on as a “love” project.  Love me until I can’t stand it anymore and I crawl into your lap for a nice long snuggle.”
