Trust is not to be taken for granted. It is awarded to those who work for it!

Why we love Jim–and you should too!

Jim came into the world feeling a lot of love but needing a trusted hand to feel safe. He longs for his forever family and hopes he’ll soon find them!

Shy, sensitive guys do exist! If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive guy who loves to love hard, Jim is the one for you! Once he gets to know you and trusts you, he’s very personable, enjoys a good cuddle session, will want to protect you, and stay as close to you as he can. Play time outdoors with his person in that wonderful, luscious, grassy environment will guarantee a happy dog until he’s recharged for more. Fetch-and-tug is his favorite game!

Be proud! Jim will show off his house manner skills because he’s almost completely housetrained! He even prefers being in crate when he needs to have a little “Jim” time and will sleep there overnight. He is a champ with taking a bath – a bit of squeeze cheese on the side of the tub does the trick! Overall, he’s quite cooperative, likes to please his humans and enjoys making you proud!

The scary things in life. Jim sometimes needs a reminder that he’s safe as he requires gentle introductions to unfamiliar people. He feels intimidated and is visibly unhappy when forced to meet someone new suddenly without building some trust. When something sparks fear in him, he will run to a “safe spot”. He is interested in meeting other dogs but bigger dogs and Jim don’t appear to mix well He’s been great with dogs his size and smaller!

The best home for Jim to thrive in is a loving, attentive and patient family that continues to teach him how to “adult” and reassure him when he’s feeling insecure. Lots of play and cuddle time will ensure a happy heart!

Apartment Status: Jim would prefer to live in a house, but if you live in an apartment, let’s chat.
