My name is Oscar and I am NOT a grouch, just looking for a happy home.
Why we love Oscar–and you should too!
“Hi, I’m Oscar. I was adopted wayyy back in 2013. I lived in a very well-fed and well-loved home until my owner had some health issues and had to live somewhere they don’t accept cats. Although she was heartbroken, she knew that I was in good hands when I returned to Friends for Life. When I first got here I was confused, angry and overall sad. I lost my mom, home and the stability that I crave in life. Each day though, the staff has continuously shown that change isn’t all that bad and that new situations aren’t all that scary. Since being here, I have made so many new friends – more friends than I have made in the last 7 years combined!
I am not a tough cookie to crack. I may give a little glare if I don’t know you but once I get a treat and a friendly chin scratch, I am your new best friend! I will wait patiently for you to settle in and will be one step behind you as you make your way to the couch. I love to snuggle up next to you as we watch a movie! I especially love to be pet from my head to my tail and I’m not afraid of a nice deep back rub! The stress just melts away. I can get along with cats, I don’t pay too much mind to them, but I would much prefer siblings who were quiet and independent. My ideal home would be somewhere I can enjoy a day filled with daydreams and peaceful naps…and I do not enjoy jump scares, or any other trickery! But I’m quick to forgive and forget with a nice offering of Party Mix!
If you have a cozy quiet space to spare, keep me – Oscar, in mind. I promise I’m not grouchy, -just lounging around waiting for a good kitty rub-down!!
