I’m Pogo, in the black and white coat! If you want a cat who is resilient, you have found him!
Why we love Pogo–and you should too!
“Hi, Pogo, here! Boy, have I seen some tough times! A Friends for Life employee rescued me from a feral cat colony, where I was badly in need of treatment for my skin and teeth. I was suffering with agonizing mouth disease and rashes on my body. I was sent to a medical foster to recover from my painful conditions and now that I have FULLY recovered I am ready to live my BEST life. I am SO ready – I’ve been getting prepared for home life by practicing all the ways I can be super sweet, and show my gratitude to the people who will soon adopt me and love me (the way they all do around here). I like to welcome visitors by pressing my head to their hand, then make a round or 2 before asking for a full-on back petting. And almost immediately, I am kneading and purring away in thanks. You can see the joy in my bright eyes!
I don’t sweat the small stuff and I am very easy going. I love other cats and I am sure I would do well in a home with dogs or human brothers and sisters. These last couple of months have been such a transformation, just look at my before photos! Everything I have ever wanted is starting to come true. Even being a stray cat – I longed for human attention and dreamed of a home that would accept me. It was a godsend that I was picked up and recuperated in time for a second chance. I won’t waste a minute enjoying the opportunity to be a comfortable house cat. Please take a chance on me, POGO – and invite me into my forever home.”
