Adopt Reversi

I'd love to be your number 1 fan!

Why we love Reversi–and you should too!

“Hi, my name is Reversi! I was brought to Friends for Life after my former owner could no longer care for me.  I was not only scared but I was not feeling well at all! Turns out, I was diabetic and not getting the nutrition I needed.  After settling in at the shelter, my coat got cleaner, my eyes brightened and my attitude improved! I am technically in remission.  I don’t need insulin but I prefer to eat my special diet and drink lots of water! Keeping up with my diet, I’ll keep in good health with little to no maintenance!

I am not going to lie – when I first got here, I was ANGRY. I didn’t care to be touched or have much attention. After awhile, I got used to folks being around and I enjoyed the occasional chin scratch and conversation.  My personality truly shines when I am in a home and out of the shelter.  Since I have had a checkered past, it’s good to give me a few days to get used to my surroundings and know that I am safe.  At foster, I let my guard down and love to be affectionate.  I love to curl up on your lap and take a long nice nap!  I have even started to enjoy play time.  I like light feather toys and will wait until your eyes are on me so I can show you my moves! My ideal night is to keep you company in the kitchen while you cook us dinner and curl up on the couch for a movie.  Even though I like my quiet time – I have been great with visiting strangers.  I’ll be polite, say hello, and make sure they feel at home.  With how fast I am progressing in foster, I don’t think there are any challenges I can’t overcome! I love to be brushed and play in my water fountain!

I crave a quiet, laid back household.  Building trust with me is a lifelong gift and I will give it back to you many times over and then some!
