About Sophie
I’m Sophie and I love to snuggle!
“Hi, my name is Sophie, and I was transferred from another shelter where I was crowded in with other cats. If you know anything about me, you know I don’t even like cats! Life so far has not been a walk in the park… Yet. I was originally adopted elsewhere and returned years later. My old owners were not the nicest and often chased me with a broom to get me out of somewhere. Because of this, it takes me a little while to settle into new environments and trust new people. If you take the time to communicate with me and learn my language – my walls, come crumbling down.
I love to be around you. Snuggling up on your lap for the night or keeping your feet warm at night are two things I am really good at. I am very respectful of your space, and I will wait patiently for you to come play with me or give me some chin scratches. My previous cat-crazed environment has me craving the comforts of a quiet home where I can relax with my paws up and my guard down!
It may take me time to adapt to a new environment but once I know I am safe and loved I will be happy to share my love with you.

I enjoy playing, but it’s not a daily necessity.

I'm like velcro and would be near you all the time if I could!

I can be slow to warm up, but I'll come around to most people.
Housemanners
I'm better behaved indoors than most humans! Your rugs are safe with me!
Kids?
I'm not really a huge fan of kids.
Dogs?
I've had very limited experience with dogs and, with proper introductions, may be happy living with them.
Cats?
I am not a cat fan and do not want to live with them.
