Too old to party? NEVER!
In this birthday video, Friends For Life resident Magoo shares his shelter experience as a cat living in the Leukemia room. With his crotchety wit and satirical way, this baloney-loving resident explains why being senior is superior.
For our birthday, we are launching the 365 Challenge, where you can give a second chance to the animals who need us–like Magoo. He’s helping us spread the word about how we need 365 people willing to give a monthly donation. This steady gift will help us strengthen many life-saving programs in next 365 days of our mission.
A year ago, we made some commitments. Here are just three examples of results from the past year:
- adoptions increased 43% (423% since 2008!)
- 40 pit bull dogs found homes
- 750 cats and dogs gained social skills in foster home
Now we are asking for commitment from you to keep up the momentum.
Help us meet our goal of registering 365 people to pledge a recurring monthly gift! Here’s what your donation can do:
- $25 feeds a pet for a month through our food bank
- $50 vaccinates a whole litter of puppies or kittens
- $100 provides basic medical care for one dog or one cat (spay, neuter, vaccines)
- $250 takes one animal all the way through the program from stray to adopted
- $500 provides life-saving heartworm treatment and follow-up care to a dog
- $1,000 (a month) funds the operation of our mobile adoption vehicle for a year
