Meet Lyssa, a courageous and resilient kitten who radiates boundless love and hope despite facing physical challenges. Lyssa’s story will touch your heart and proves that indomitable spirit and unwavering determination can be found within the smallest and furriest of beings.
Not much is known about what happened to Lyssa. She was brought to Friends for Life by a kind soul who wanted to save her. Vets determined that Lyssa was born in a way that left her back legs paralyzed (it’s a neurological issue.)
Though her tiny legs may not carry her like other kittens, Lyssa’s heart and spirit propel her forward, reminding us humans of the power of resilience and adaptability. Her beautiful eyes sparkle with curiosity and a zest for life that shows her unyielding optimism.
Even without the use of her legs, Lyssa can move around and play with other kittens at kitten kindergarten. This tiny angel knows no boundaries! She doesn’t even know she’s different and is able to play and snuggle just like any other kitten. Lyssa wants nothing more than a loving home with a kind and patient adopter who can provide her with the care and support she deserves.
There is a huge personality in those little floral diapers! Lyssa has blossomed into a girl who is curious about everything and loves exploring and playing. She can scale a cat tree (for real!) and outrun most of the shelter staff when she wants more out time playing on her free roam time in the back-of-house at the shelter. She’s made friends with Ben, an older kitty who shares her room. When we introduced her to Orion, a new, orange Fraidy kitten, she took him under her floral wing and helped him adjust to being around people and other cats.
This girl has such depth of feeling and will be a fun and funny addition to a home. A home filled with gentle hands and warm hearts that understand her needs where she can flourish and be showered with affection will be perfect for Lyssa.
