About Rowan

“Hi! My name is Rowan and I’m looking to finally settle down with a family for my retirement years. You see, I’ve had some pretty bad luck finding a home over the years. As many of you can relate, I lost my home after hurricane Harvey, with a litter of kittens nonetheless! Friends for Life took me in, and I eventually found another family, but someone developed asthma and sadly they couldn’t keep me anymore. I’m getting a little old to keep bouncing between homes and shelters and I’d really love to settle down ASAP (although my age won’t stop me from chasing balls, following you around the house to steal some attention, and maybe even some clicker training if that’s your thing – I’m pretty smart).

There are a few things to know about me to make sure that we’ll be a perfect match! I’m very sweet and I love being pet (even my belly!) but I don’t really like being held or picked up. I won’t give you any trouble getting me into the carrier or taking me to the vet or in the car though. Easy peasy! I also think that I do a perfectly good job of keeping myself clean and would prefer to stay away from water, thank you. Fun fact about me: I’ll sing along with you! If you sing while you do chores or work, you’ll always have a duet partner! How cool is that?

I love attention from humans of all kinds, even little kids, but I do prefer that other pets give me a bit of space. I’m a relaxed kitty and I’d hope that any other pets are too!

All of my previous families agree, I’m a very sweet and relaxed cat who deserves a nice home to retire peacefully. Is it yours?
