Here's an incredible story of resilience!Meet Alese Zeman, an inspiring example of courage and determination. In January 2023, she was in a severe car accident that put her in a coma for two weeks. But that's just the beginning of her remarkable journey.Alese was taken to TIRR Memorial Hermann, where she began the challenging road to recovery. Through speech therapy, physical therapy, and more, she worked her way back to the career she loves at Friends For Life. With the support of her friends, family, and colleagues from Friends For Life, she made incredible strides—from using a wheelchair to walking, and eventually even running a half marathon one year after her accident! Her story is a testament to the power of perseverance and the support of a loving community. Alese's commitment to returning to the work she loves and her ability to inspire others is nothing short of amazing. Friends For Life is grateful for you, Alese! When someone calls us, saying they need to give up their pet because they can't afford food, we ask, "If you had the food, would you be able to keep them?" Most of the time, the answer is a resounding "Yes!" Temporary financial struggles shouldn't force people to part ways with their beloved pets, so we made it our mission to eliminate that barrier. That's why we started offering food assistance, and we haven't looked back. Our program has helped many families continue to feed their furry companions during difficult times. But we can't do it alone—we need the support of our community to keep this program running. We are asking for your help to restock our pet food supplies so that we can continue to support even more families in need. We accept ANY unopened pet food or you can find a link to our wish list in the comments section. Thank you for your generosity and continued support.

Here's an update on Chuck Berry's progress. When Chuck first arrived, he wasn't feeling his best, and his coat was severely matted. After giving him the care he needed and closely monitoring his health, we're delighted to share that he's feeling much better and is in great spirits. Despite facing challenges in the past, Chuck has shown resilience and now embraces life with newfound enthusiasm. His playful antics never fail to bring a smile, but underneath his jovial nature lies a gentle soul who enjoys quiet moments just as much. ❤Chuck is searching for a forever home where he can share his love and passion for life, along with plenty of cuddle time. Check out his bio in the comments #unshelterede about him. #unsheltered
