Meet Catalina, a little girl with a big heart and a story that will melt you. She was found living outside when a kind soul took her in, wanting to give her the safety she deserved. When it became clear that Catalina needed medical care for a leg injury—and with a house already full of dogs—our shelter stepped in to help her get back on her paws.

Catalina recently underwent an FHO surgery, which turned out to be more complicated than expected because her hip ball was fused to her hip. But in true Catalina fashion, she handled it like a champ—and now she’s healing beautifully and back to being a happy, healthy girl.

Now that Catalina is settling in, her true personality is shining through: an absolute sweetheart. She may only have one eyeball, but don’t let that fool you—this girl sees the world with nothing but love.

Catalina can be a bit shy when meeting new people at first, which is completely understandable given all she’s been through. But once she feels safe, she transforms into a friendly little ball of sunshine who just wants to be close to her people.
