Animal training is a vital component to forging a happy, healthy life with your pet!
However, it can be hard to choose an excellent trainer. The industry is largely unregulated with no minimum requirements or third-party oversight. That means anyone can call themselves a trainer and charge you for their (maybe not-so-great) services! Imagine if just anyone could call themselves a dentist!
Here are the trainers in the Greater Houston area we recommend. Each has earned a certification (and sometimes multiple certifications!) from a third-party organization that ensures they:
- Have a good working knowledge of animal behavior and the science of how animals learn
- Are up-to-date on their continuing education (there’s always new research coming out!)
