Community (Feral) Cat Resources

A step-by-step guide on how to preform TNR in your neighborhood

October 14, 2019 by Friends For Life

“Community cat” is an umbrella definition that includes any un-owned cat.

These cats may be “feral” (un-socialized) or friendly ones that may have been born into the wild or may be lost or abandoned pet cats. They typically live in colonies.

Feral cats have no wish to live indoors as pets. When brought into a traditional shelter, these cats are euthanized to make space for adoptable cats, however, our mission at Friends For Life is to TNR (Trap, Neuter/Spay, and Return) these cats so that the feral colony is stable and no new cats are being born. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to preform TNR in your neighborhood!
